“Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play it.”  – Mike Singletary,  football coach and former professional football player

MWS offers after-school sports to students in sixth through eighth grade through the MN League of Independent Sports Teams (L.I.S.T). We participate in fall soccer, winter basketball and spring volleyball. Students have the opportunity to play in any and all of the sports offered. Sixth grade students will play scrimmages within the class for soccer and then compete against other school’s sixth graders in basketball and volleyball. The seventh and eighth grade combine to play against other school’s seventh and eighth grade teams in soccer, basketball and volleyball. Baseball is taught and played in the spring during Movement class.

The mission of L.I.S.T. is to promote the development of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship, to build community and foster friendship between the various schools and participants, and to encourage students to play, which fits well with the Waldorf philosophy.  If you have any questions about our sports program, please contact our Movement Teacher, Kurt Curtin.  952-240-5542 or
