Heart and Hands Garment Repair: Darning Class
We are thrilled to welcome Eileen McMonigal back to MWS to teach the art of darning, Saturday February 22nd. Learn this very handy weaving method to fill gaps or strengthen damaged sections of beloved thick knit sweaters, delicate base layers, as well as socks, gloves and more!

Heart and Hands Community Gathering: Sound Bath & Tea with Ms. Shay, January 29
Join us for our second Heart and Hands Community Gathering—a restorative evening of sound healing and connection, led by our very own Ms. Shay. Together, we’ll enjoy a soothing sound bath and warm tea as we enter the winter season with mindfulness and community. This gathering offers a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect in a cozy and welcoming space.
This event is open to all—current MWS families, alumni, friends, and extended community members. Please note that this is an adult-only event.
We’re offering this session on a sliding scale to welcome all who’d like to participate. Suggested registration fees are $5, $10, $15, or $20—whatever feels right for you at this time of year.

Early Childhood Puppet Play & Admissions Event, February 1
We invite you to explore our unique learning environment where every child is genuinely loved and cared for by trained Waldorf Educators. Teachers will be providing a glimpse of every day life for our preschool and kindergarten students that includes plenty of time exploring our wooded campus and gardens, warm fresh baked bread and story telling. Our Early Childhood teachers will be presenting the puppet play Shingebiss followed by a tour of our grounds and an opportunity to dive into the admissions process and ask the questions that matter most to your family. Children are included in this invitation!

41st Annual Holiday Fair: November 23rd 2024
Fun activities and beautiful artisanal crafts return to the MN Waldorf School’s free and open-to-the-public 41st annual Holiday Fair and Artisan Market on Saturday November 23rd, 2024. Join us for a full day of wintery festive fun, with children’s activities, puppet shows, food trucks, live music, a silent auction and of course visits from our sneaky Pocketeers!
The MWS School Store returns with an opportunity to shop a beautiful selection of unique Waldorf style toys and crafts.

Bike-A-Thon: September 21st 2024
Gear Up For Good! Join Us for the 8th Annual MWS Bike-a-Thon! The annual Minnesota Waldorf School Bikeathon is a not-to-be missed event bringing children, parents, alums, and community together in a fun-filled day to raise funds for our school. Students obtain financial pledges from families and friends by doing laps around Lake Como. Pledges are made as a lump sum or based upon number of laps completed.
