Our tuition covers these experiences and provides a place for families to grow and develop as a community. Our priority is creating a community that reflects our diverse world which is why our families do not all pay the same tuition rates.

How to Make Tuition Work for Your Family

  • Inclusive Tuition

    We believe Waldorf Education should be accessible to every child. We have designed our curriculum to include a rich array of experiences and materials to fully experience Waldorf Education. Our tuition covers these experiences and provides a place for families to grow and develop as a community. Our priority is creating a community that reflects our diverse world which is why our families do not all pay the same tuition rates.

  • Determining Individualized Tuition

    The choice of where to send your child to school should not be based on financial restrictions. We recognize that each family is different and look at your financial situation with a neutral third party process to determine how much attending the Minnesota Waldorf School should cost your family. Many MWS families choose between using financial aid or taking advantage of our sibling discount (25% off second child, 40% off third child).

  • Tuition Adjustment

    Please contact us for our Tuition Rates, and learn more about our robust Tuition Adjustment program. By starting a conversation about your family and getting a whole picture of your needs, we can discuss financial aid options together. Over 40% of our families receive financial assistance, averaging 50% off our tuition fees per student.

Tuition Assistance

We believe that Waldorf education should be accessible to every child. Minnesota Waldorf School offers tuition assistance through financial aid and scholarship awards to enrolled and prospective students – following admissions application completion.  

  • Once a family has completed the 2024-2025 admissions application, they are eligible to apply for financial aid through our business office. MWS uses a third party organization to collect and verify applicants’ financial data.

    Financial Aid is available for students who are five years of age by September 1st of they school year for which they are applying. Our sibling discount is automatically applied to any family with more than one student at the school. Families who are awarded a Financial Aid award will receive whichever amount is greater (Financial Aid award or sibling discount), but not both.

  • Families have the option to apply for additional tuition support via the MWS needs-based scholarship fund, available to families whose needs go beyond the initial financial aid award.
