Heart and Hands Garment Repair: Darning Class

Join former MWS faculty Eileen McMonigal for a garment repair workshop featuring the art of darning. This crafting technique, which employs a specific weaving method to fill gaps or strengthen damaged sections, can be effectively applied to a variety of cherished family garments. This includes everything from thick knit sweaters to delicate base layers, as well as socks, gloves, and even the torn mesh of backpacks or beloved running shoes.

Participants are invited to bring a long project or just take notes. Each participant will take home a darning egg. Some sewing experience may be helpful. Students 12+ are included in this invitation with a registered adult.
