I am not applying for tuition aid. Do I still have to register with TADS?

Yes, because all contracts will go through TADS.

How does TADS collect information?

TADS allows you to submit documents securely online, by postal mail or fax. They digitize the documents in order to evaluate the application and make them available online for MWS administrative viewing.

How does this change affect payment of tuition and fees?

All fees will be collected by TADS through credit card, checking/savings account, or by check. Allowing credit cards is a new option for families (subject to a 3% fee).

Can I still set up auto-withdrawal from my checking/savings account?

Yes. Monthly payments can be set up with an auto-withdrawal feature subject to an annual service fee of $45.

Can I still pay tuition up front for the discount?

Yes. By paying up front, you avoid the $45 annual service fee.

How else can I avoid the $45 annual service fee?

By paying tuition in two equal payments, one at the beginning of the year and the other mid-year. Note that this bi-annual option does not prompt any tuition discount.

Where does TADS hold the money before remitting to MWS?

TADS uses top-rated, 100% FDIC-guaranteed bank accounts to safeguard funds for the very short time held.

Can I still make a payment at the school office?

Abnormal fee payments can be made at the school office. We encourage full usage of TADS to help manage MWS expenses and staff time.

Does this affect how much financial aid will be available?

No. This is simply a change in vendors from SSS to TADS that is believed to benefit the school’s long-term expense management.

How much does the financial aid service cost?

The service charge to the school is $160 annually. TADS charges applicants $34 per application (which is $6 less than the prior vendor)..

What if I need to talk to TADS about my invoice or payment plan?

TADS staff is available via telephone (1-800-477-8237), online chat or email (help@tads.com) Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Who follows up on unpaid invoices?

TADS will contact families with overdue balances.

How is the MWS school data used by TADS?

TADS uses your data only to create reports for MWS. TADS agrees to never sell or otherwise use your data without your express permission.
