Marianne Schneider – Minnesota Waldorf School was truly blessed by having Marianne Schneider lead our first Kindergarten Program. Here are a few interesting pieces of information about Marianne:

    • In 1972, Lisa Monges (with Marianne Schneider and Kari van Oordt) founded the Spring Valley Eurythmy School, where she taught and performed.
    • From Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School, “Marianne Schneider, from the Minnesota Waldorf School, was the first guest eurythmy teacher, teaching weeklong sessions, two or three times a year, in the late eighties. She began mentoring Julee Caspers Agar in 1988.”
    • In an artical about Camphill, Snowy-haired and soft spoken, Camphill worker Marianne Schneider is one of the older houseparents. “We don’t really distinguish between workers or houseparents and those with disabilities here,” she says. “We’re all just friends.”
    • Marianne Schneider is the Painting and eurythmy (movement) therapist at Camphill.

 

Margaret Meyerkort – author of “ The Challenge of the Will: Experiences with Young Children” and four books of collections, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall: A Collection of Poems, Songs and Stories for Young Children (Kindergarten)”.

Rene Querido – author of many books including “The Wonder of Childhood” and “Creativity in Education”, René M. Querido, LLD, was a seminal figure in Waldorf education for a half century. He was educated in Holland, Belgium, France, and England and studied mathematics and physics at London University. Mr. Querido lectured throughout the world on historical and educational topics and was director of Rudolf Steiner College (Fair Oaks, California). He was also Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in America.

Werner Glas – Waldorf teacher, teacher trainer, and actor, assisted multitudes of people in starting Waldorf Schools all over North Amercia.
