The Minnesota Waldorf School
Seeks applicants for the 2008-09 school year in the following areas:
Two Part-time Kindergarten Assistants
Part-time position supporting the work of the Kindergarten teacher in the mornings.Patience and love for young children, and the ability to carry out daily tasks with joy and interest. Training or a practical understanding of the Waldorf approach to child development preferred, early childhood work experience helpful. Good organizational skills and the ability to guide a group of active preschoolers are essential.
Three-Day Assistant: Monday - Wednesday, 8 am to 3:30 pm. $13/hour
Five-Day Assistant: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 12:30 pm. $13/hour
Part-time French Instructor
Native or highly fluent speaker, able to work warmly and effectively with students. Baccalaureate degree in education or language desirable.
One to two years of successful foreign language teaching or equivalent. Waldorf experience and/or training preferred; interest in Waldorf pedagogy essential.
Extended Day Teachers for the 2008-2009 School Year
Two positions available: Lead After Care Teacher and After Care Assistant
Supervise and ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the program to ensure that the Extended Day experience is positive for the children and
consistent with the pedagogy of the school.
Lead After Care Teacher
This position includes caring for students after school and preparing an afternoon snack. $15/hour
After Care Assistant
Responsibilities similar to those described above. $13/hour
Program Hours
3:00 pm - 5:45 pm Monday through Friday
Applicants looking for more hours are encouraged to apply as coverage or substitute teachers.
Substitute Teachers for the 2008-2009 School Year
Hours vary. Additional coverage hours during the school day may also be available.

In our 27th year, the Minnesota Waldorf School teaches a lively community of over 200 students.
In addition to our parent-toddler and kindergarten programs, we offer a rich Waldorf curriculum through eighth grade.
Located just 8 minutes from downtown St. Paul, the Minnesota Waldorf School enjoys a natural setting of eight acres with an adjacent nature preserve.
Our school benefits from the strong support of our Board and parent body, as well as a dedicated and experienced faculty and College of Teachers. The Minnesota Waldorf School has full AWSNA accreditation.
