"Experience Waldorf"

It's your turn to come to class!

Sat, March 20, 9:45am-Noon

Back for a second time this year due to popular demand! Experience first-hand what makes the Waldorf curriculum so unique and engaging.

Parents and interested adults can get a glimpse of what happens in the classroom through the grades by selecting one of six mini-classes. Learn to read with Ms. Garcia, discover science with Mr. Maier, get active with movement teacher Mr. Curtin, and more. At the end, we'll host a panel discussion with faculty and alumni, who will answer questions and share their insights.

Our New Kindergarten Cottage

The Kindergarteners began class in their sunny new cottage on Monday, Sept. 14, only three months after construction began in mid-June 2009.

The building includes many 'green' features, including geothermal heating and cooling, Marmoleum linoleum flooring, heat recovery ventilation, urea formaldehyde-free cabinets, double-paned insulated windows, and rainwater catchment areas. Roughly 1,000 native perennials and various shrubs are planned for a lovely landscaped garden on the cottage grounds. Native plants require less maintenance, water and fertilizer. VOC-free (volatile organic compounds) paints, stains and finishes were used throughout the cottage so everything smells fresh and natural, not toxic.

For more information on the project, download our project overview. To make a pledge to support the project, download a pledge form.
